Ready to help

Three ways to support play across Derbyshire

Donate toys, time, or money — and help more children access quality play while reducing waste.

Donate toys

Pass on outgrown toys. We sort and safety-check everything — donations join the lending library, support Stay & Play sessions, or raise funds at our auctions. Less waste, more play.

How to donate toys

Donate time

Pick a role that fits — help at sessions and events, keep toys circulating, or support us behind the scenes. Full training given, DBS checks covered, friendly team guaranteed.

Become a volunteer

Donate money

One-off or monthly gifts fund Stay & Play sessions, keep membership affordable, and buy and replace the toys families love most. Gift Aid adds 25% on top.

Why donate?

Every donation helps keep play affordable for local families. Pre-loved toys get a second life, volunteering keeps the library running, and financial gifts fund new toys, replacement parts, and sessions like Stay & Play. Together, we reduce waste and help more children access quality play across Derbyshire.

Common questions

Do I need to be a member to donate toys? +

Where do I drop donated toys off? +
You can donate at any of our locations. The Strutts Community Centre in Belper is our preferred drop-off point, especially for larger donations.

Can I volunteer if I only have limited availability? +
Yes. We'll do our best to match you to a role that fits the time you have.
Can I donate monthly? +
Yes — we offer monthly giving options as well as one-off donations.
